FAQ
Questions, answered gently.
What ages does Fortis serve?
Fortis provides counseling services for children ages 10 and older, young adults, and adults.
Do I need to have a diagnosis to come to therapy?
No. People seek therapy for many reasons, including life transitions, stress, relationships, personal growth, emotional challenges, or simply needing a safe place to talk.
What happens during the first session?
The first session is primarily about getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, answering questions, discussing your experiences and goals, and beginning to determine how therapy can support you.
How often will I attend therapy?
Frequency is determined based on individual needs, goals, therapist recommendations, scheduling, and other relevant factors.
Do you accept insurance?
Fortis is currently working to establish relationships with insurance companies. Accepted plans will be listed here as they are finalized.
What if I've never been to therapy before?
That's completely okay. You don't need to know what to say or how therapy works before you begin. Your therapist will help guide the process.
Do you offer telehealth?
Telehealth availability: To be determined.
How do I schedule an appointment?
